Abeg, Follow me Laugh

As my fellow igbo folks will say, "Odiegwu!!!", or the easy "Na wa o" as many of us would understand I may sound like a broken record by now but this is rather serious oo.... Its one thing to do others wrong but to do YOURSELF wrong thats some level of guts i obviously don't have. I have been "trying" to put  pictures together for a post but Ha! i couldn't hold back on sharing these two...

I tried to zoom into this picture so you will see Eucharia on the right...(well on my right depending on ur position) but i am sure she stands out regardless. The Charcoal mixed with the Clay on her eye is very confusing...As in, how? why? believe it or not...i am short of words to describe this makeup, For starters..Nobody uses black on their eyebrow and it is mad obvious that Chic doesn't have any eye brows....She looks like an Ape...A brown haired Ape...(God will forgive me sha) but damn! Come on Lady...Younotry

This mgbeke here...had the audacity, the guts, the bold mind to collect this dress from the tailor, pay her (better yet if it was free) then worse of all....WEAR this to a red carpet event! No! u have got to be kidding me right?? is it the green mosquito net on the bottom or this satin that looks like the inner lining of drapes  or the lace wig that her residual hairline starts right on top of her eye brow or the fact that she tried to pull the "sexy-eye" look off. That is eh!, Mba nu!!! this is not acceptable @all... I have tried to find something positive about this picture, the person and the outfit but it is impossible. At this point you have to agree with me that she should have stayed home and not come out to embarrass herself.
Again..please do not blame me for the things i say, blame the people that give us something to humor about. The things we see, "i must attend" SMH!

Thanks for reading! Please if you have any pictures please send them to younotry@gmail.com
PS: It does not have to be on red carpet oo, anything at all that does not sit right. Please do not try to spite your Ex-boyfriend's GF ooo..my hand no dey! LOL

...They have come Again

Hmmmm, shebi when i talk now they will say I have bad mouth...but how is this my fault when people have decided to keep looking an utter-mess??!! Well, for the following "younotry's" today, thanks for giving me something to write about. As long as you keep embarrassing yourselves, leaving your house, going for a "red carpet event" and most of all having the BOLD GUTS to stand in front of the camera and pose looking like "that" then I have no apologizes for putting you up!

DISCLAIMER: I did not dress these people, I do not know these people, I am not being SPITEFUL, neither did I make them pose for the Camera. I only talk about things that have been brought to my notice, if you are angry or offended~~~U re solely on your own, in your pocket oo..

This is definitely the hardest one to actually understand what in the world was going through her head, but then again, she is a blonde and you know what they say about them..(in the event you don't, google it...i yabb folks i don't educate..Kpele)

Am i the only one that sees the love handles tho?
I have a couple things bothering me about this picture..first is this chinese 3-in-1 weave on her hair plus the undergrowth, this is when it is really hard to comprehend, couldn't you have atleast fixed your hair?, I am not discussing the dress...but if you ask me, invest in a girdle and for your face, I am most certain she used Nixoderm or Shirley as a facial foundation (don't ask me how i know, you have eyes) #nuffsaid
Nixoderm or Shirley??

And i hear this woman is a designer?? You be the judge of that but one thing is certain, I wont be buying anything she EVER designs PERIOD!
Aunty, why would you go to a store and let them rip you off for an undersize shoe? see your toes like chicken feet, if you ask me,  wait! you don't have to ask but I will advice you to wear only cover shoes and spare us this grief! Dalu!!!
They call her Vina, i call her an ASSCLOWN!, where do i start? is it the hair? abi this colored sac she is wearing or is the shoe i peep...is there any reason why anyone will leave their BATHROOM, the most private place in your home let alone leave the house looking like this?? Na wa oo!! i must agree some babes have guts!...omo! Younotry..shikena!
Infact eh, not only are your in the wrong event, you are in the wrong country..give me one logical explanation behind this NONSENSE you have on? Why will any one in their right sense wear a fur coat in 150degrees biko?? I am sure you turned enough heads this night looking like a wet bear..*Loud Hiss*

I looked through Bella Naija-Karen's Party album and i have picked my best, when you view the album you can pick yours and my best dressed and effortless person is....
From her hair to the outfit to the shoes = ON POINT!

Once again, I am not being SPITEFUL but if you have the guts to pose for the camera best believe i will have the guts to BLOG you..and most importantly thank you for giving "Younotry" and its readers something to laugh about...

Boy shorts Vs. Thongs

Ladies and gentleman, it's on! I was flipping through a recent issue of Cosmo and ran across this one feature that claims boy shorts are trampling the thong in sales. Come again? Could boy shorts really be the "new power pantie" of the decade?

"Boy Shorts or Thongs"????
It's pretty hard to believe we may have gone from the era of the thong song to one that values sexiness and comfort. Wouldn't you agree? Plus a little something left to the imagination is definitely way hotter than some string riding up your butt, no? Not to mention that the boy short is a heck of a lot more flattering on just about every derriere in existence.
What are your thoughts? Are you in favor of a boy short takeover? Or will you remain forever faithful to the good ol' thong?

I am definitely on “Team Boy shorts”…What is your take on this?

We Call it as we SEE it!

For all my fellow bloggers out there...i bow in respect, esp Linda Ikeji (lindaikeji.blogspot.com) who manages to blog every single day, if you have not been to her blog...you should. I am horrible at this thing, I am learning, still learning and i will learn...
But then again...for me to come out of my "bloggers block" (if there is anything like that) u know it has to be serious. In as much as i haven't written in a while i have managed to keep up with what goes on out there especially "on the so-called red carpet"...These people are attendees in a "Music meets Runway"...in other words...Music Vs. Fashion...the pictures you are about to see are people that single handedly abused that word FASHION, and they were my "younotry" favorites. Enjoy

Keeping it Simple part2

So i caught the famous blog disease...the "Lazy Blogger Syndrome"... I sincerely apologize. I started a new job with the fashion industry so more to come from me i promise!!!!
As we haven't been to any Red Carpet Event lately due to our busy Schedule, XYZ busy with the Store..LuXe (which by the way is doing greatttt!!!!!! check us out, 20 Adeniran Ogunsaya, surulere) I know, I just had to mention...as i was saying...while ABC is busy with the new job but we are putting together some Younotry pictures for our followers please hang in there for us!!!
But under keeping it simple, we figured we talk about the easy way to maintain Our Weaves... I can't speak for everybody oooo but for those of us that spend #somemoney on our weaves, be it yaki o, chinese o, indian o, even expressions sef! putting heat on it everyday on it will ruin it PERIOD!!  I came across this video on youtube on how to preserve ur hair without heat...and i thought it will be nice to share:
Bendy Roller Tutorials
Tried and tested, it works...I swear by it. The bendy rollers can be found in any beauty store, i will advice to buy @least a 1"inch for more chic, fuller curls. I found it hard to do first couple times but hey!!! #practicemakesperfect... Dont worry about sleeping...it is pretty flexible!! I hope this helps for those who want sexy wavy curls but NEPA won't allow us or for some of us who are plain ignorant on how to use curling iron.

Keeping it Simple...

Couple days ago I was chatting with a friend of mine about fashion, shoes, handbags and jewelry, As the conversation went on about Labels and none labels, this Topic came into my head to talk about. First of, anything you put together to wear is UNIQUE....now this is the Question? Unique in a good way or in a bad way. Whoever said fashion is a statement did not tell a lie, You dress how you feel, absolutely true!!!. You can only see fashion through your own eyes (this is not an excuse for those who just like to look an utter mess oh!!!) I would put together a list of my favorites both from Western down to our own very Ankara and natives.
I will start with my favorite..No matter how style challenged you are, i believe you cannot go wrong in a pair of jeans and tee shirt...well i hope not!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the  boyfriend style jeans, I mean for some of us who are not exactly skinny or have a body shaped like "an Agbani Darego" these pair are the most comfortable and stylish thing to throw on and regardless of your body shape and size they are stylish!!, you can dress it up or dress it down depending on your mood...
Halle shows a perfect example of a day in the park with her girl in her bf jeans. She still looked fab and very glam in her outfit, no questions asked!! Its better to play it safe than be sorry, doing a little is always better than over doing it.
Now, say you are going to the movies, club or even a date, you can still rock a tee shirt and jeans but then  throw on a pair of heels like:
She has taken this outfit to a whole new level just with the heels she had on. Half of the time we do not short skimpy dresses, or shorts or mini skirts to make a statement or to stand out. "If i were a boy"....i will take a first look at her before looking @ your undersized dress with your lace front hair... LOL yeah! i know i just had to throw it in somehow!!!!!!!

RED CARPET HOWLERS!!!!!!!!

I have gone through so many red carpet event pictures, watched a lot on TV and We have been on some ourselves *wink*...ya whatever!!! but the most red carpet that stands out is the Nigerian Red Carpet Events. Its amazing the things you see on there, I have come to a conclusion that many participants or guest or award recipients are not well informed on what kind of occasion they are attending...YES I am giving them the benefit of the doubt because there are so many blunders on the red carpet with different participants that makes me blame the event planners...
So Younotry has decided to come in as an intervention and show people what is NOT acceptable at a red carpet event, This is totally our point of view, we don't need to be agreed with, Pictures don't lie...

Red Carpet or Pajama Jam?
Dare " u re not the guy i used to know", He is ALWAYS on point but we think this outfit is a NO-NO, the blouse/ turtle neck is definitely not working on those pants, yes, turn up pants are in style but this particular pants are way too turned up for its liking. His shoes are mad no doubt but they are so not working on those jeans!! come on!! For a whole MTV music award???? This is not acceptable! Plus why is he wearing his watch on the shirt sleeve??
Her name is Goldie and she is sticking to it. This outfit eh...there is no way of addressing it. It is just WRONG, period!!! Reminds me of my high school bed spread. And is she wearing just one sock on her leg? this makes us think if this was red carpet event or a gala at the Roman Colosseum?
Aunty Sasha, where do we even begin...the hair?, the red bra?, the skirt? the shoes are definitely UNTOUCHABLE, I refuse to talk about the mirror you are wearing on your legs, how does that even tie  this outfit please?? as in we are just confused!! Funny thing is She received an award for "Best dressed female rapper". Makes me wonder who votes for these awards.  #younojusttry abeg!! this is outfit is horrendous honestly..
Cape Lady
Now how can you even talk about this outfit without being mean? I mean, SERIOUSLY???? This is when I am convinced that these people are in the wrong event. How in the world can you wear a "Super-Hero" outfit to an award show?? WHY WHY WHY WHY?? what is this cape on the dress? At this point you wonder what she saw in the mirror before walking out of her house, 2nd question is did someone actually let her walk out of the house looking like a HOT MESS CAPE LADY!! hiss!!

This one is just totally confused but unlike cape woman she played safe but a little bit too safe, I mean come on...How do you wear this to a red carpet event, if you are going to the movies, maybe, JUST MAYBE I can understand but for an event its a total NEGATIVE!!...if you ask us, YouNotry!!!!!!

Banky W...as they call him "Naija Craig David" You have a thing or two to learn from the gentleman on the left, This outfit is NOT acceptable especially when you won "best dressed male artist" on this night. You can sing your heart out but bro!! are you for real with whats on your leg...sketchers, trainers, runners abi shoes??? for real? Uncle Younotry at all!!!! You should know better than this.

Omo, this one na real flower girl...maybe she was told she is going to La-la Land, land of colors, flowers and patterns. You shouldn't even own something that looked like this PERIOD, award show or no award show..only thing I have to say about this is Loose this dress please...if you insist to own it still, turn into a night wear and hope you don't scare your bed mate.
Anyone remember HOT CASH? Willie-Wille
Of course you know we had to save the best for  last...I have no words for the lady above but DAMN!! The hair, the dresses, the necklace the shoes, I mean the whole 9yards...At this point I will let the picture speak for itself...I am very positive that anyone reading this is thinking what I am thinking......YOUNOTRY!!!!

PS: This is intended to humor you..I have only tried to explain what they were trying to tell us from their outfits, the pictures are real and the events are real...if you have a problem with this....remember this is a fashion police blog...#gohugtransformer or better still #knockhead4wall !!!!! lol

"Lace Frontitis" The Epidemic affecting black women!

a
Eddie Munster!!!!!!!, real famous for his hair line back in the 80's. I always wondered why these Ladies have subjected themselves to such an embarrassment of taking so much resemblance to Eddie. Whats more painful to come to terms with is the FACT that these lace front hairlines start from the eyebrow.
There is no human being walking the face of the earth whose hairline is so perfect, well besides this person:
                                        "
And SHE!!!

Kelly is def a repeat offender.....I mean check out the hairline and the glue manifestation:

Aunty Kelly, YouNoTry, what in the name of Weave is going on with your hairline? Where is you part? Where is the Natural hair line or at least where is the "natural looking baby hairline"? I am not even going to mention i can see the glue on your forehead or that i can see where the lace front starts from.
I have seen crocked hairlines and badly "over emphasized baby hairlines but this here is the height of it all :
This has to be the most ridiculous looking baby hair I have seen in a long time,  plus check out the back side!!!! Aunty mi, YouNoTry at all. LOL

YouNoTry lace wig favorite has to go Aunty Brandy:

Can we say HOT MESS!! Aunty this  lace front is killing us softly. It just made me think planet of the apes ! Her make-up was nice but them brows was a lil extra. I cut for Brandy sha, I’ve been a fan for many years, but if I was in her crew I would not let my homie roll like that ! I’m just saying :)

And ofcourse!!! to our drama queen, queen of pop, Beyonce, whom should pretty much take the blame for the invention of this EPIDEMIC....
                                         PAINFUL, huh?
I seriously want to believe the stress on her head is from the hitting that high note better not be glue application gone wild..

Partner in crime comes along and kills it....

Seriously, I blame Tyra & Beyonce for this lace front wig epidemic. Tyra & Beyonce have definitely had their fair share of lace front mishaps, but for the most part, Beyonce has always kept her lace fronts ‘natural’ looking (well as natural as you can get wearing hair that has been sewn onto a piece of lace and then super glued to your forehead). If you’re seriously going to venture out and attempt to wear a lace front, at least make sure you’re not walking around looking like Eddie Munster’s twin sister.

It is pretty obvious at who takes this award home....
You no try at all!!!
